I don't think a review can actually convey... read more how fantastic they were - helpful information on when and how to arrive...recommending and booking (wonderful) restaurants...meeting us for the first evening trial to explain everything about the Palio...helping us get tickets for a Contrada dinner...I could go on and on! The race itself was cancelled on our last day due to the rain, but, by that stage, it didn't even matter, as we had experienced so much of what Siena is at this very special time, thanks to them. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and the terrace was a wonderful spot to dine al fresco. Francesco was very responsive and even helped us to make dinner reservations. He made reservations for us at the restaurants we wanted to go to as well. We even called him late one day because we thought we were going to be eating in another city but then decided to come back to Siena to eat and he called all over the city until he found a place for us! If we had a question, he immediately responded back. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with him and how friendly and accommodating he was. His place was just perfect! Everything was clean and neat when we came in. The view of the distant countryside was so great. You do have to walk up some flights of stairs because it is at the top but you will not regret doing so at all!
